Background

belsondesign specializes in programming, planning and conceptual design.   Our clients include Case Western Reserve University, Hamilton College, Skidmore College, SUNY Purchase College and SUNY Stony Brook University. Other clients include professional architectural and engineering firms who value our expertise. Our founder, Charles Belson was a partner in the nationally known architectural/engineering firm EwingCole, and we have worked on numerous projects together. 

Charles Belson is a past Vice President of the Cleveland Circle of the Decorative Arts Trust, and past President of the Cleveland Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.  Mr. Belson’s work has received an Honor Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, a number of Merit Awards from the American Institute of Architects, and LEED Gold and Silver certifications from the US Green Building Council.  He received his B.A. in Art History with Honors from Yale University, and his M.Arch. from Harvard University.
